Hydrometra, larve (Spanje, sept 2006)
Hydrometra stagnorum larva
Water-measurer, larva

A larva Water-measurer gets support from a pair of duck weed leafs. With it's curved up tail and long legs he reminds me of a young colt. The long antenna reach the water surface. On the duck weed leaf most behind a Microvelia is vaguely visible. This picture was taken at the same pond as that of the mating Water-measurers.
