Piona cf. rotundoides
Two pictures of a female specimen of the watermite species Piona rotundoides
(identification not entirely sure). The first picture is an enlarged version of a picture on
the previous page. As said there, the right eye can be seen
through the transparent body, making it seem the eyes are closer together than in reality, as
shown on the picture below. On both photos a large hair cone is visible on the left
palp.
