Deze twee watermijten zijn beide gedetermineerd als Hygrobates longipalpis. De determinatie heb ik zelf gedaan aan de hand van foto's en is dus niet zeker. De mijten zijn op verschillende plekken gevonden, ongeveer een maand na elkaar. De linker mijt is met zekerheid een vrouwje, de rechter lijkt mij een mannetje. Ze lijken niet erg op elkaar:
